Chapman Innovations provides fire resistant fibers and clothing to such industries as firefighters, race car drivers, military, and more. In the late 1990s, as the founder experimented with various fibers he began to consider the use of a carbon based fiber in developing a material that would dramatically increase the fire resistance of the clothing into which it was incorporated. Mike's motivation came from seeing a number of friends killed or seriously injured by fire in motor sports racing accidents. His goal was to create a racing suit that would be broadly available to both professional and recreational racers that would save lives due to fire.
